There are numerous sidetracks which lead to a distorted, ego-centered version of spirituality; we can deceive ourselves into thinking we are developing spiritually when instead we are strengthening our egocentricity through spiritual techniques.

Arem challenges the radical 'spiritual' pluralism of our postmodern era. The message may not appear to have the positive tone that most of his teaching does. He did the video after an experience within deep meditation, wherein after coming out, he sensed the need to address this matter and his position on spiritual guidance in the postmodern, spirituality-saturated marketplace many of us live in.
Arem seeks to honor religion and spirituality as having a place in our spiritual evolving. However, he is concerned that most persons in spirituality are not grounded in the wisdom of the past enough to know the subtle ego-pitfalls potentially awaiting even the sincere, devoted person.
He offers this video to be seen as a compassionate expression of his passion to see persons free of attachment to religious and spiritual practice. He offers this video with the realization that letting go of attachment to even our spiritual practice is part of waking up to our freedom, power, and blessing as the one Self of all beings. Arem wants us free of continued trust in the promises of religion and spirituality that, at best, give temporary relief. The final relief, the Party Jesus refers to, is beyond religion and spirituality, as the Truth is before them, as well.
